1. How do you explain about Muhammad (SAW)?
Answer : Muhammad was a trader later becoming is religious, political and military leader. However, Muslims do not view Muhammad as the creator of islam, but instead regard him as the last messenger of God, through which the Qur’an was revealed. Muslims view Muhammad as the creator of the original, uncorrupted monotheistic faith of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets.
2. What is salat (prayer)? Exlain how many times a day?
Answer : Salat (salah) is the islamic prayer. Salat consists of 5 daily prayer according to the sunna. The name are according to the prayer times : Fajr (morning down), Zuhr (noon), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (after sunset), and Isha (evening night).
3. What is zakat? Explain it?
Answer : Zakat or alms-giving is the practice of charitable giving by Muslims based on accumullated wealth, and is obligatory for all who are able to do so. It is consideret to be a personal responsibilitt for Muslims to ease economic hardship for others and eliminate inequality. Zakat consist of spending 2.5% of one’s wealth for the benefit of the poor or needy, including slaves, debtors and travelers. A Muslims may also donate more as anact of voluntary charity (shadaqah), rather than to achieve additional divine reward.
4. What is pilgrimage? Who may do it and how many times?
Answer : The Hajj is a pilgrimage that occurs during the islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah to the holy city of Mecca. Every ablebodied Muslim is obliged to make the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their lifetime.
